POLYKLEEN SURFAX is a liquid surface-active agent with extremely low foaming properties. It acts as a fortifying agent for caustic cleaning of scaled cane juice evaporators. It is used as an additive for caustic soda cleaning of sugar evaporators in sugar mills and refineries. It prolongs the tube life of the evaporators due to its anti-corrosion compound. When added to Caustic Soda, it contains a powerful surface active agent that provides all the important wetting action to effect fast and complete softening of tough calcium sulfate-oxalate scale complex normally deposited on evaporator tubes. The scale usually becomes muddy and is then readily floated away by light brushing operation.Extensive tests prove that POLYKLEEN SURFAX in the caustic solution does not foam excessively.
