Our History
Our Humble Beginnings
POLYCHEM was established by Engr. Carlito S. Marquez, under the name of POLYCHEM ENGINEERING. POLYCHEM ENGINEERING pioneered in the local manufacture of bottle washing compounds for the beverage industry. Subsequently, their market grew and extended to breweries, distilleries, and dairy plants. It was in this field that POLYCHEM became known to the industry.
POLYCHEM INDUSTRIES, INC. became a corporation and began to service the sugar industry. The company was the first to locally produce an alkaline-based cleaning compound specifically formulated for sugar juice evaporators. Other formulation such as mill sanitizers, pan boiling additives, and clarification aid soon followed. It also marked the first time a local company ventured into water treatment by formulating its own boiler water treatment chemicals. chemicals.
Polychem organized an affiliate company known as POLYCHEM PROPERTIES, INC., for the purpose of developing real estate including building, homes (low income housing projects), apartments, and other structures. As part of its expansion program, POLYCHEM also ventured into the rapidly growing business of Personal Protection Equipment (PPEs) and Highly Biodegradable Biotechnology Cleaning Solutions for Industrial, Hospitality and Commercial use.
Carrying a new flagship name of POLYCHEM MARKETING CORPORATION, today POLYCHEM is a widely diversified company with interest ranging from industrial cleaning chemicals, machinery, equipment, industrial supplies, agriculture, poultry growing, aquaculture, personal protection equipment and biotechnology cleaning solutions.
